Accredo Hemophilia Health Services is seeking an experienced medical billing professional to serve as a key member of a cross functional Reimbursement leadership team that works closely together to ensure successful program and service outcomes.
The Director of Reimbursement takes charge of all aspects of the division's medical insurance claims and collection process. Oversees the development and implementation of credit/collection strategies to ensure accounts receivable balances are within stated objectives.
Work Performed
Directs division account receivable activities to ensure DSO, bad debt and credit balances are in line with business goals.
Oversees the development of written policies, procedures and SOP's to ensure compliance.
Initiates meetings with other members of the Reimbursement leadership team to establish mutually acceptable business practices and problem resolution.
Drives business and system/improvement initiatives to achieve optimal results, improve processes and enhance productivity.
Ensures appropriate employee training and evaluation of team performance; plays a key role in department staffing, discipline and compensation matters.
Prioritizes initiatives based on strategic business goals.

Requirements |
Education
Four year degree in business or related field and at least eight years of previous experience in a medical billing/reimbursement environment; including prior management level experience.
Experience
Requires a minimum of eight years experience applying medical insurance principles for Medicare, Medicaid, contracted and commercial payers with a strong working knowledge of both paper and electronic claims filing.
Specialty Pharmacy, Dialysis or DME Clinic billing experience is preferred.
